I have some load resistors for my switchback 3157 LED's. I want to install them correctly. There are three wires leading to the turn signal bulbs. I know that black is ground, brown is flashing signal and the striped wires are power. I connect the load resistors in parallel so it should be one end to ground and one end to flashing signal, right? I hooked it up to ground and power and my bulbs don't even light up. After I took out the resistors (kept in the wire couplers) the bulbs still didn't light up. Any suggestions?

I'm not a fan of load resistors since they (a) generate heat and (b) increase energy draw, which it counter to the point of switching to LED's.

My preference is to use electronic flashers instead. The Grote flasher (search for it, the part number is mentioned a ton of times on the forums) is your best bet.

try putting LED to the other side and turning signal on to test it. What kind of resistor did you use?
And yes, relay would work a million times better, resistors should be used on cars , that nobody made relays for yet.

Thanks

The grote relay should work for multi LED bulbs, right? I will just get one of these since I can get one shipped for under $20.00.

I got the Grote LED flasher and it worked perfectly. Only took about a minute to install too.
