Just changed the coil pack out on my 95 mtx, and i was wondering is it possible for a bad/fried coil pack to cause the car to radomly die & then start back up? (like a bad crank sensor would do) The previous owner did a Full 60K, BUT the coil was the original w/ 163k on it.

Just trying to see where i stand right now, b/c carlise is coming up quick!
Thanks in advance!...........Sal:salute:

Coil packs will throw a code about 90% of the time. The DIS checks for the ground return through the coil pack, and if the pack isn't firing that return won't be there and a code will be set. I hate to say it d00d, but it's crank sensor replacement time.

does your car die when it hits operating temp?
and does it have to cool down before it will start up again?

My money is on the CPS.
