Are you guy's running "bump stops" inside the coil over's. You know the little tapered rubber spacer that prevents the Koni insert from "bottoming out".

I'm not. Need to order some, though.

Gotcha. The thing that sucks, is that you have to disassemble the strut to put those in. Then it's off for an alignment.

How long have you been running without them???
Did you ever bottom out???

I have some sort of Mustang bump stop in mine. They match the shaft diameter and fit up in the top perch nicely to give maximum travel while still providing a soft stop.

I don't recall where I got them.

Disassemble the strut? The spring isn't loaded so I was just going to remove the bolt from the top of the strut and pull it out and leave the mount on the tower.

Been without them since I got the car back around April 19. Was daily driven since then until last weekend. Pretty sure I was bottoming out pretty much over every bump. I got kinda used to it, but still really want some bump stops.

No stops. I'd be running like a Sprint Cup car if I was. There are a couple bumps on the roads that I have to prepare before attacking, otherwise the strut bottoms on the mount. I guess the good thing is that the strut body hits the spring perch, and not the piston at the bottom of the barrel.

Edit- I do need to note that while the shock structure does not allow the piston to be destryed by bottoming out, there is still a tone of force going into the wheel bearings when the suspension bottoms out. What we really need is to have the front strut towers about 4" higher. Then we would have plenty of travel.

I am runnig the D2's which are the same as the K sports and i can say they are one of the best coilovers out there. So if you do get them you will be happy. Also with the camber plate you can easily adjust your camber.

they certainly are nice...if you get a good set. mine are 2-2.5 years and have 17k miles, and have been blown for about 5k of those miles. my ground control/koni setup on my svtc is still great after 6 years and 38k miles.
heres my pgt w/them,this isnt even lowered all the way, just basically the strut body is lowered allowing full travel of the strut rod.
Picture 100
the front camber adjustment plates and ride harshness ****.
