So my 3.0l SHO i have everything hooked up everything works except my coil. I tested the spark plug with a tester and an old spark plug, nothing no spark nadda. i checked this 4 wires that plug into it one reads 11.6 and the other 3 wires read 7.8 volts. is that to low of volts? should it be up to 12 and thats why it wont spark, if so what would cause that i havent seen pinched wires or anything. I cant figure out why it wont spark. this is even brand new plugs and wires i tried my old ones that still worked before to and nothing from them either. Would this have anything to do with the ignition switch would it be turned off manually or anything?

so this just happened after you changed plugs?
did you replace all the engine grounds? the typical reasons for no spark are bad engine ground or bad crank sensor.

Is it possible that crank sensor is slightly off in adjustment and its not setting spark is there any sensor or module that would stop it from sparking?

i pulled codes right now its saying ISC didnt respond properly... whats ISC stand for? and also EGR didnt open/respond but i dont hava egr on my exhaust so if someone could help me with what system i have

EVP is for vehicles equipped with EGR solenoid(s), with or without an EVP sensor

EVR is for vehicles equipped with an EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR) and an EGR Valve Position (EVP) sensor

PFE is for vehicles with Pressure Feedback EGR (PFE) sensor and and an EGR Vacuum Regulator (EVR

i dunno which of these 3 i have to tell what the 2nd code means

13 is for the IAC valve and the 33 is for the EGR. I'm guessing you have a loose electrical connection somewhere and these two are coupled together in the same harness. Test the red wire with a volt meter on the IAC connector with just the key on and if you get 12 volts, there's a short somewhere. Look at all the electrical connectors at the back of the rear cylinder head near cylinder number 4 and make sure none have came apart. Physically test them and ensure they are tight. One might have separated when you were putting in the plugs.

so i tested the IAC and its reading 11.48 volts. so i take it somewhere along the harness its not getting a good connection and causing my ignition system to short out?

Make sure the ground strap on the back intake bracket on the passenger side is connected. If its not your dis will not get ground.

go to shotimes.com and read again how to pull the codes and then pull them correctly. 13 only shows up as a koer test result, not a stored code result, and a non-CA mtx does not have a egr, so that tells me that you did not read the codes correctly.

SHO times said thered be a flash to seperate codes so am i right if i say its code 14 and 16 or is it 114 and 116? codes 14 and 16 deal with ignition and my coil isnt sparking so is that it?

FYI, you can test coils with a couple of flashlight batteries. apply power to each coil segment input by tapping the battery terminals. be sure to ground the plug casing. sorry, I don't have the wiring schematics handy.

What year is your car? 24 and 26 is what that is showing us. To be sure, run the codes again and let them repeat. That way you can be sure you are reading them right.

No you are fine. I made a mistake. You should be getting 10.5 volts or higher there with the key off.

well i have a timing light so awhile ago i hooked it up to the coil pack figuring it would flash for a spark.. it didnt. then i used a spark plug tester.... nothing. also used a voltmeter to measure volts in the coil... you guessed it 0. but i tested the connectors goin into the coil pack 1 wire read 12v and the other 3 read 8v so its getting power and the coil pack is new its an accel coil only thing i found odd was the guider on it was in the wrong spot so the connector wouldnt go on i called SHO source they said i can remove it and itll work but is that true? could my new coil pack be faulty?
