I thought I heard some chattering/ticking from the s/c'd 91. I put it in neutral, got out, and inspected the engine bay. I was goosing it at the throttle linkage, I heard NOTHING. Get back in the car, and I still hear it. It sings with the rpms. Uh oh, CEL is trying to tell me something. Now the idle is pulsating, and I see black soot on the ground below the tail pipes.
I perform the ce test. KOEO: 41 and 91 (initially, I get a 1, and then a 5... what does this mean?)
2. Is the noise a typical "clutch chatter" noise? I have never heard it before though...
3.Or is the noise I hear related to the lean codes? btw, KOEO... is 41 and 91 lean... or is that KOER only?
The symptoms that show up with the codes are: pulsating idle, black soot, noise.
Seems like ,iirc, one other time I was fooling with it at idle (goosing the throttle and letting it idle for 5 minutes or so) I got a 41 code. I cleared it and it never came back. But this time I get BOTH banks runnning "lean"...
any suggestions?
