im getting the koeo codes 212 and 214, the car had a couple of hard starts in the past few weeks then the ce light came on.
im thinking its the CID cam sensor
are these sensors interchangable between gen1 and gen2
this is on my 95 atx

From the link in my signature you can see that the 214 code is indeed the cylinder identification (CID) sensor. The Wells F134 is available from AutoZone for $32.99 and fits all 3.0L and 3.2L SHO engines. You will need a 5.5mm (7/32"), 1/4" drive socket to access the bolts that secure this sensor to the aft exhaust camshaft. I would first make sure that the connector is properly attached to the existing CID sensor before replacing.

212 (M) Ignition TACH signal was erratic (module/wiring) or SPOUT circuit fault
214 (M) Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal
