just some history .. i have a 94 atx .. just had the trans done .. new plugs and wires about 3 monthsago .. using autolite xp plugs and autolite wires .. probolem im having is at an idle it feels like the motor has a misfire .. my tac stays steady it drives good .. no real hesitation i know of .. ran codes i got a stored 452 ..and did a running code check i got 452 ... i just had trans work done .. have traveled over 200 miles since then trans performs flawlessly i dont think the vss is a true cause .. spedo works and shifts smooth ... .. i have noticed its been kind of harder to start when its cold and been sitting over night .. any ideas ... also my maf is clean egr ports are clean ..

i know that the code is .. and is probolly left over from when i had the trans installed .. i have no shifting nore spedo issuses at all ..

did you disconnect the battery at all during the transmission work..so that the codes will disappear...o well if not disconnect the battery for 10 mins or so maybe less and then reconnect the battery run it around for awhile and see if we get more codes....it could be your crankshaft position sensor, did you put a new fuel filter on it...are your o2 sensors still good..im just trying to narrow somethings out here maybe someone with more exp. could help...im just learning but those could be one of your problems to

Erase the stored codes and see if it returns. You can do this by disconnecting the battery for a while or you can go to the local parts store and have them erase the code with the scanner.

It's best to use an OBDI scanner to clear the codes. Disconnecting the battery clears *ALL* the information stored in the KAM, including the "learned" information stored in the adaptive-strategy tables (eg. info used to control engine idle).
