code 81

How do you service a code 81? I just bought a green 91 plus and it seems to be a pretty nice car, just needs some tlc. I got home from a short trip into town and went to start it back up and it just cranked and cranked. Finally started but would stall out if you let the rpms come down fast. Also, when you goose the throttle it almost dies. I pulled the codes and got 81,81,1,11,11 for the koeo. An 81 code is listed as inlet air solenoid. Thanks.

Pretty sure that points to a bad IAB.

The IAS (Inlet Air Solenoid) is NOT the IAB (Idle Air Bypass). The IAS is the control valve for the secondaries and is mounted on the rear of the intake.

Check to make sure it is plugged in.

Thats the little black canister on the rear plenum right? Is that what actually controls the secondaries?
