Well, I had a caliper bracket bolt shear off on the '91 this morning @ 4am.

Has anyone ever encountered this before? I used the stock bolts from the car instead of the grade 5 pile-o-crap ones the kit arrived with. So IDK.....Any chance there are better bolts out there than what the cars come with? :thankyou:

Anytime i've had a bolt break on me like that it was because of another reason, not because of the bolt itself. What more than likely happened was the bolt backed out causing a little play in the bracket everytime you applied the brakes. It was only a matter of time before it snapped. Make sure everything is good and tight when you put it back together and you shouldnt have any problems.

I got the broken part of the bolt out, and replaced them with spares I have. Now I have to get the tire rebalanced since it knocked the weights off rubbing on the wheel. LoL

Typical day of SHO ownership...:angelnot:
