I just bought a 1992 sho and have drove it for about a week. But during the week the clutch started to get tighter and tighter. Now it is to where it will not disengage the transmission when i press the clutch.

I just want to know where the adjustment for the clutch was located. (I've never had to adjust a clutch before and havent owned a manual since highschool.. lol) I've read about the auto adjust by pulling up on the clutch pedal but it doesnt seem to be working on my car.

Yes, you pull up on the pedal by whatever means you choose. You do not need extreme pressure, just lift your foot underneath and that is enough. If you still have problems, it's the clutch or the adjuster not holding any longer. You can test this by lifting the pedal and manually moving the blue toothed piece up, then releasing the pedal to hold the manually adjusted piece. If it slides over the teeth after everything is set and released, that's a problem because a properly working adjuster will hold.

Edit: The adjuster is up and behind the clutch pedal assembly. You will see a blue piece with teeth, that's the biggest piece and the adjuster assembly within the area.

Ok, well I pulled the blue adjuster piece and it does not hold its place but the only thing is that I need to to go the direction that is maxed out in. It will move down toward the pedal but not up away, and that is where I need it to go. Is there another place to adjust the clutch pedal at?

Thank you for the help, TYSHO. :thankyou:
