yes folks thats right.... again....

she is really hard to shift at WOT, actually, i have to wait till she drops rpm to about 3-4k to shift....

1) could a PP bolt have backed out... they were tq.'ed, but i didnt use locktite...
2) could the TOB be going out, or gone out or whatever..... IIRC it is from the zoom clutch kit....
3)if it is the PP bolt(s) can i tighten them through the bell housing "breather port"? i know i would have to remove the "ribs" that are there. but do yall think it could be done that way.
4)what else could cause this?

For a second there, i had thought about selling her.... but, then i let her rip in third...

I dont think its me. as in driver related.... could it be the motor?

the last clutch disc, the part were the spring sits, sheard off.... and the spring was loose....

i threw that clutch in there, so that way i could save up for a Centerforce DF clutch... or an ACT....
i might get in to the GB if thats still going....
any help is very much appriectiated....

i was thinking about one of these.... as i am not putting another organic disc in there... its either kevlar, or whatever else... well the centerforce is an exception..

I dont care how hard that pedal is... as long as that clutch LASTS!!! and with half as much HP as they are rated at, i think they will...
unless someone could show me another clutch that has the same fetures as i want... these are my best choices...

It sounds like possibly a TOB problem.

I doubt that it's a PP bolt backing out, but you can check that without too much trouble. You can also check the condition of the straps by removing the starter and turning the engine over with a breaker bar on the bolt in the harmonic damper on the crank.

I had to do this recently and it's not too tough to inspect the straps and PP bolts this way, especially if you have one of those little mirror-on-a-stick doohickeys.

So I'd check for bent or broken straps and/or loose PP bolts first with the starter out. If it's none of that then it all has to come out, anyway.

dam... that should have been the first thing i should have thought of... went straight over my head.... thanks...

do you think its possible to reach the PP bolts from the tranny vent, that is with those ribs removed... this is also with on of those mirror-on-a-stick doohickeys.... ( <<<yeah i copied and pasted that one.... ) and a couple of extensions...
i really really really dont want to pull the trans again... this will be.... **** i lost count.....

I will check those tomorrow at school.
If, i did break/bend a strap(s), what would that say about the motor? or would that just be from something else... this is a CM1 (SS hi rev jr.) PP.

Have you replaced your clutch cable?

Is the TOB lever arm bent from past clutch jobs?

Tell me about dropping transmissions!
