clutch throw out release problems

I have just replaced my 94 sho clutch because the throw out bearing did'nt release and it burned up. The metal and ball bearings turned blue from the heat. Upon replaceing the pressure plate, disk and throw out bearing and resurfacing the flywheel I checked the throw out bearing free play. There is'nt free play in the throw out linkage. It is so tight that I can't move it at all. There seems to be a problem in the clutch pedal linkage adjustment. I did replace the speedy sleeve that the throw bearing slides on. Is there a fix to this problem because Ford dose'nt offer this part any more. I read about a part that will replace the ratcheting assembly like one for the Mustang but is it avaliable for a 94 sho?
