My dads 90 SHO wont start. And he belives its the clutch saftey switch. could this be true? he said it has happened where it wont start maybe 2-3 other times, but the last time was about a month ago. And all he had to do was get it pop started and it would be fine. I notice the switch has 2 wires coming out, could I cut the two wires together? Battery is fine so their should be no trouble their
What other reasons could be casuing this, Im sure theirs a million, so maybe just the more common ones for now. And if I have to get a new could I still get it from the ford dealer or do i have to find a used one somewheres.
Thanx for any help or info with this, for now where just push starting it and tring to park on hills and what not :nut:

Yes, that switch closes to allow the engine to crank, so you could jumper it to test it.

X2 Prolly not the switch. Try a new solinoid. It's pretty easy to check the switch, though. Just probe the wires with a volt meter and push the clutch in. You should see voltage.
