ROAD BLOCK! Last nite I went to install the transmission and the TOB supplied by Center force is wrong. It does not fit the sleeve. I cant get one until Wednesday, Ford has to order it in from out east.

Damn these cars, 2 steps forward, 3 steps back. Maybe by Xmas Ill be driving the car.

So I got the correct TOB and Installed the transaxle. All was well until I tried to re-connect the speedo cable. The male threads on the trans are stripped.

Is it possible to replace that piece without removing the trans?
Thanks

The car is on the road!!! Now the heater blend door sounds to be busted. The heater works, but it will not go to cold. I can hear the actuator clicking, but the door seems stuck.

Is there a way to knock it loose without removing the dash? The car sat for 4 years in a dusty dirt storage yard.
