Hello everyone...
I have found a good price on Rock Auto for a 9/34" inch Clutch kit for my car...it works out to about $220 CDN. I am on a budget. The brand is Brute Power/Perfection Clutch...which I have not heard of. Anyone want to weigh in on it? I know they often repackage brand names etc...essentially what do you sages think? Any pros and cons are greatly appreciated! Cheers.

I bought a clutch kit from "Rhinopak", and what could be more ridiculous than that. It turned out to be A-OK.

I would not hesitate to buy this one, if it is the best deal at the time.

All of the clutch repackagers use the same standard parts and no one has a better supply of parts than the other. They are all copies of the original manufacturer.

The standard clutch kits that you are looking at give you the longest life and the least amount of grief. and in the end, they are the best value.

While I agree with sperold on most points, there is a difference. The LUK Repset stock clutch kit has 6 springs on the pressure plate, where all other stock replacements use 4 springs. I paid around $200 on ebay for a LUK kit.

Are you referring to the clutch disc above? pressure plates have but a single diaphragm spring, and three drive straps (all of them).

I concur. The differences are in how the PP is rebuilt. Luk has a good reputation. No sense scrimping bc the labor is huge.
