Today i was stopped at a light waiting for it to turn. As i started out, the clutch engaged like usual and as i pressed the clutch pedal to shift to second, the clutch dropped back in and would not disengage. I pumped the clutch to try to get it to come out but nothing happened. I let the engine idle down to around 1k and i poped it into neutral. I pulled over and tried to start off again like normal. I pressed the clutch in and it felt like i was just pressing the pedal itself and nothing else. I turned the engine off and rolled it into a parking lot to look for a broken connection or something. The metal piece that goes into the tranny was moving back anbd forth just as normal so i thought something inside broke. I put the key in the 'on' position and pushed up on the pedal to see if maybe i could tighten it any. It clicked once and then i noticed that the CE light was flashing random numbers. '5-4-7-2-1-9-3-7 etc etc... I turned the key off because i couldnt keep up with the code and i turned the key back on to try to start it again thinking the click fixed my problem. I put it into first and pressed the pedal and noticed that there was more pressure on the pedal. Car started up fine and i drove another 3 miles or so to my house just fine. Has this hapened to anyone before? What could of caused this? I dont think that lifting up on the pedal as little as i did woudl of fixed anything. Am i gona be looking forward to spending some new *bling bling* or what? I just bought this car and it runs like a dream and i have not really been rough on the clutch yet so i dont think it was something i did.

Any advice for the clueless shoboy?
