Just thinking out loud ... would a used replacement shifter be a faster/ easier install?

Wow. That clevis is really sloppy, but someone has already repaired, or tried to repair one half of it (the part that has the allen head bolt closest to the rear of the car) but even that section of it is really loose. You might be able to tighten the bolt they used to get a little slack out of it, but the SHOsource repair kit is the best option.
One nice thing is someone has already put an aftermarket Y-pipe on it which generally flows better and makes some more power.
It does sound like the clutch might be worn based on the symptoms, but I would fix the shifter first.
Oh, and after you come to a stop, try putting the car into fifth, then reverse.
Were you able to fix the spinning shifter? I have the same problem. I've gotten used to driving it now but it would still be nice to fix it
I got it special ordered from the guys at SHO Source. Email them and they will get back to you. And just go from there. LolIs that a readily available part or is it one of the many you have to hope you can find? Thank you for replying
**** no lmao. Sprung a leak in the power steering.... Somewhere. Ac screwed up and is clogged, leaking all over the floor. Still needs new shocks. Windows are still out. Need to get a good running car before putting more money into it.You ever get this thing figured out and running smooth?
