Almost ready to put this car back together. I have a resurfaced flywheel and a new set of (3) dowel pins from shonut (among other clutch stuff) I want to put this together the right way. It seems like i could just hammer (lightly) the pins in place until they are seated firmly? Is this correct procedure?
Im also confused about the felt washer for the clutch release fork. It seems my trans didnt have one when I pulled it upart. Where exacly is this part located? It seems important to the alignment of the tob from a search. shonut does not have a listing for this either. Dealer part?
The quill race on the TOB seems a little off exact center in relation to the actual bearing surface (that contacts the PP fingers). The old tob seemed to be the same way so its problably nothing to worry about but I want to make sure.
NO locktite on flywheel to engine bolts
BLUE locktite on the PP to flywheel bolts
RED locktite on the TOB fork bolt
what is used under the quill?
thanks
