hmm, if its not moving, but the rev's are climbing, it could be a few things.

your brother could have glazed the clutch over (which basically means that the clutch will never grab like new again. this comes usually from doing a nice big burnout or another high stress, high slippage, high heat situation)

it could have come from driving with your foot slightly on the clutch, or any number of other things.

****, your throwout bearings could have just gone bad.

i'd say baby it for a little while and hopefully it'll reseat. the clutch in my truck glazed over when my dad was towing our boat, but some time later and hardly any abusive driving and it was strong again, but not as strong as it was.

once the thing finally dies, get a Centerforce clutch, strongest one you can afford, as long as your car can handle it, lol.

Ummm... not really. Centerforces aren't even close to the strongest clutch that can be put into a SHO.

The SHO centerforce clutch isn't worth the extra money over the stock clutch from shonut. If you want a serious heavy duty performance clutch there are much better options out there but they cost $$$$$

either the PO couldn't drive a stick for sh*t (slipping the disc left and right) or he left out a 0 when he said 10,000mi. The disc is shot. Centerforces are by far the most over priced and underachieving clutch I have ever seen. They replace the bands on the stock PP, and use the stock disc, just redo the lining. Hardly worth the price they ask. Clutch selection soley depends on your plans for the car. Realistic plans.

Try taking up the slack on the clutch cable. You can do this by pulling up on the clutch pedal with your foot or by hand. If there is slack you will hear a click, pull up multiple times until you don't hear it click anymore. Hopefully this is the problem, if not you are looking at a clutch job.

I had someone look at it and he said there was no slack on the pedal!!HE said that could be why the clutch went out!

Yes, your brother problably destroyed the PP taking advantage of your SHO, and its power. Once it gets glazed over it s time for a new clutch. The OEM clutch kit is $219.00 from shonutperformance.com

good luck

Ryan, there are always other options. That job does not have to cost you $1200.00 for sure. Best thing you can do if you're in a money pinch is get in touch with Josh at SHO Nut and order the stock clutch kit with wear items and a new TOB. No need in doing it half assed, replace the stuff while you're in there and there will be no need to open it back up any time soon. That clutch shop that did mine the first time is an option for you as well. They let you supply your own parts with no problems.

But let me suggest this. If you're available this Sunday, I could take a drive out. I'm putting my new PP pipe on the car amongst a few other things on Saturday so it wouldn't be possible for me to get down there at all that day, but I'm completely free on Sunday. I can't fix it for you, but I can tell you if it is indeed the clutch or not. Shoot me an email and let me know.

Thx Biz!I actually had a show mess with it today and try to adjust it for me...He didnt have much time so i am going back tommorow for an hour or so,so he can check it out more!!About 15-20k miles ago it got a new clutch, fly wheel, pressure plate, and tob installed at a ford dealer!! I am hoping it might be something simple as a cable or something messed up!!Everyone on here keeps saying it grinds alot when clutch is bad and mine dont grind at all!!
