I have a 95 mtx and judging from the vibration I started getting in the clutch pedal its time for a replacement. I'd like to get a OE type replacement for as cheap as possible but dont want it so cheap it would fail quickly. I was thinking the Zoom or Valeo from Rcm for 229 both have repair sleeves im sure I'll need. Does anyone have any experiences with these? Or know of a better option? Thanks

I had a SouthBend stage 1 and a ceramic TOB installed last year on my '95, Feels like stock, and has been taking a lot of abuse with no issues. I would recommend the Southbend stage 1 if you were planning on keeping it stock or doing some light modifications.

The stock valeo kit from ... just about anywhere for about $250 will work great. If you don't ride the clutch like someone that thinks the pedal is a footrest, the stock REV. B TOB and sleve will work just fine.

Try adjusting the clutch, pull up on the pedal. The vibration might go away.

I have a "Rhino-Pak" clutch assembly from RockAuto in my 95 and it works great. It has all Valeo parts. The RCM Valeo unit will be just as good.
I got the Ceramic Throw out Bearing and it has not been any trouble either. I don't have enough miles on the unit to tell that the ceramic unit will yield longer life for the pressure plate fingers, but I am hoping it will.
I am putting about 1000 miles a week on the car, so I will know soon enough.

I did the valeo clutch from rcm, back in sept. I have a couple thousand miles on it. Only problem was the sleeve was crap. Rcm sent another one, it was crap too. Shosource helped me out with the right one. If you buy from rcm expect a long time waiting for email replies.

Yes it is.
The TOB (throw out bearing) is sized to fit the quill (or repair sleeve if you like) and the quill is sized to fit the snout of the input shaft on the tranny. It is put on using locktite of a certain colour.
You have to specify if you want the quill (or repair sleeve) up front when you order the clutch, because you get different sized TOBs, depending on what you order.
Always order the repair sleeve, because I think the snout is aluminum and it wears quickly, so even if you didn't need it last time, you might need it this time.
