clunking

theres a clunking sound coming from my wheel wells. I just replaced the control arm w/ the ball joints. It sounds like hard plastic clunking. someone told me it could be the strut mounts. does anyone know if this sounds right? If not then what else it could be?

Outer tie rods, sway bar end links, strut mounts. All possibilities. Only way to know for sure is to get under there and do a thorough inspection.
