It seems my climate control(EATC) has developed a problem. It won't turn off. I'll press the button and it'll say off on the screen, but the blower will be going full blast. It could be a blower problem I guess, but i'm not exactly sure. It has not other setting than full blast i'll move it to low and nothing will happen. It will respond to changing the temperature on the climate control, like if i turn it to A/C then its cold, but still full blast....ANY help would be good.

It's your blower motor. About a $35 part and you can replace it yourself. It's located behind the glovebox, in the heating ducts.

Also, do a search on blower motors; I know someone on this list has been fixing them.

I had the same problem, but I can assure you the temperature here is at least 40 degrees cooler than GA... my problems stem from the cold.

actually rather than being the blower motor.... i would imagine it is the blower control module...

very expensive if bought new from ford, but someone on here ought to be willing to part with one for a decent price

that's what I meant. BSCM for short.

My Bad thumbs_u

Try Al Fitz; he quoted me $35 for one.

You can get this part from any boneyard Taurus that has an automatic climate control. It is not SHO specific.

At a self-serve yard around here, $10-15 max.
