I've got a '93 SHO w/automatic climate control (not sure if that was standard or not) and the fan's stuck on High and blowing through the defroster, fan switch doesn't work, buttons don't work. Can I just replace the box in my dash, does that do all the thinking/switching for my system?? Or might this a problem w/the thingy in the dash that actually directs the air?? TIA!!

Did you just wash it,or was it raining?Sometimes when the drains become plugged, the water in a heavy rain will back up and trickle into the car and onto the control. It gets shorted and the fan sticks on high. When it dries, everything works normally. It happened to me and a few others before.

No, it's not wet, it's been doing this for 2 weeks. So can I get the blower control motor out of an '89 SHO???? There's an '89 where I got my car w/a smashed up rear end, but the whole front end is fine... as a matter of fact, are engine parts interchangable on those?? I can get the whole car for $500, is it worth it as a parts car?? Thanks a lot!!

Nope.

The ones out of the 89 cars are different. You can get the control module out of any taurus or sable with the electronic climate control system.

Or, you can send yours to me and I'll fix it.
