the clicking may have something to do with it, however my heater clicks everytime I turn my key forward, and everything on my car works.

ok a couple of questions,
did u check the fuse?
does the clock on ur dash work?
lastly,
where about is the clicking coming from?

once u let me know I can try to help u solve the problem.

yes i have checked the fuse, its fine
the clock does work and does light up when the head light switch is in the off position as does the EATC

clicking sound seems to come from the glove box area, when i swing the glove box door all the way down the is a blue box that has some wires running into it...i think its coming from that?

So the clicking only happends when u turn on your lights? If thats the case it may just be a loose wire near that area, seeings how the computer is right behind the glove box.

another thing u couold do in the mean time is easiest this first, and that would be, making sure that the wire is connected behind the fuse box.

I've got a clicking too when I disconnect my battery for more than an hour. It does away though after a while... I have no clue what it is.

try checking the stupid flasher relay/circuit breaker or whatever it's called. i know in fords that they wire that damn thing into everything. happened twice to me. once in my mustang and once in my taurus. they wire the instrument lights to it cause of the L/R turn signal indicators on your dash. mine was going bad and my signals would work intermittently and sluggishly sometimes. i think the clicking you hear is from the relay itself which is like a sky-bluish color and is located behind the glove box when you drop it. it is totally separate from that round thing in your fuse box. once i replaced it, no problems at all. you can get a ford replacement which is the better part but any pep boys bought relay will do. just remember that if you don't buy the ford one the speed of your turn signal flashes will be different than what you're used to. hope that helps, it's the only theory i have.

edit - got a good look at it just now and it is round and sky-blue and is attached to the metal frame of the dash on the left side of the glove box when you push in the sides of the box and drop it all the way (looks just like a regular flasher module). has 3 flat pins in a triangular pattern and unplugs from a harness and has one of those door panel type fasteners that goes in a hole in the metal dash to keep it from flopping around.
