They dont make them, so unless you try putting together some custom ones of your own forget it. BTW this has been attempted by a few people and they never get too far for some reason. I'm assuming its a big PITA and they lose intrest or they just dont come out too good. If you do a search you'll find plenty of threds on the subject. I personally would be interested to see how they would/could look and think it has possibility, you'll find quite a few others here who dissagree.

I'm not gonna LOL at the subject cause it's a question that a lot of newbies wanna know and also one that I wish there were a solution to. Call me a ricer or whatever but I still want Altezzas on my SHO... futhermore you don't hear people on the forum calling out the mod that I think is the RICIEST mod of the all... the CF hoods and trunks. Maybe they're functional and do look decent, but they're ricish to me.

Rice is relative to who is looking at it.

When I first got my car, I wanted to get some altezzas, but now I don't. They may be able to look decent, but, IMO, the stock ones look fine.

Some people have painted their tailights leaving unpainted "circles," if that makes any sense. That's about the easiest way to go for a custom look. Either that or blackouts.

When I first joined, there was a guy that said he contacted a company that made altezzas for the G4 taurus. They said that if they got 100 people that would buy them, they would consider making at least a limited run of them. I think maybe 4 people were interested.

Try making your own, if you really want them. You could probably replace the stock "lenses" with clear GTS taillight covers (if they make them, I know they make clear headlight ones, but then again, you don't have alot of stones chipping your taillights.) Then you'd just have to put some LED tailights in there or something. If you complete it, You'll have one custom looking SHO, especially if they come out good, which would be a PITA. It is possible, though.

ever lifted your hood with no struts? what about a c/f hood that also has no struts? That's the difference right there.

well id half to say some clear tails dont look to bad, just not my taste. everyone has there own opinion. some cars look ricey to certain people and others think they look great...

CF is at least functional, for those looking for lighter body parts to decrease the weight of their SHO. Clear tailights are only for looks IMO. Theres a difference. Although I would prefer to have the CF part painted to match the body color.

I think they could look somewhat decent. I actually like the way they look on GP's for some reason.. And the factory 01-03 Maxima tails looked ok too. Other than that I dont really like them.

The word ricer is getting really frekin annoying already. When you look at someones car, and its got a huge non-functional wing on it and rims that dont belong..then ok. But a little carbon fiber, nice wheels, and a nice rumble never hurt noone!! As long as it matches and your not mismatching colors. Everyone has their own taste, but most of us know when it gets out of control..

FWIW.. Altezza tails were actually pretty cool until the Aftermarket companys started mass producing them. Just because Billy threw them on his Civic hatch doesent mean they cant look good on certain cars.

If the AM companys never made them.. I guarantee more than half of you would be saying gimme gimme!!!! It wouldnt be me though.

Regardless, I think the answer is unfortunately (or fortunately) no one is producing aftermarket tail lights for the Taurus platform.

um .... the sho is... um part rice .. remember the yamaha thingy under the hood ........yea um so is it rite that it eats its own kind
