I don't see why you guys, who are so adimant about doing altezzas, just don't transplant another assembly by doing some fairly simple bodywork. Back when there were NO altezzas, they used the rear light assemblies off of the Toyota Supra. Cars like the Accord, Civic, and (maybe even the integra) took out their rear tail lights and grafted in the Supra's with some factory painted fiberglass pods. A lot of trick stuff has been done by the import crowds (even relocating gas caps, etc.) You guys who BITCH AND MOAN about how some of them look are missing part of the point. Some imports are done amazingly well, it's all of the 16-22 year old kids who TRY to be these $40k civics and fail miserably. After all, altezzas were made to be the REAL altezza KNOCK-OFFS... If you want the real thing, step up to the plate. Buy a pair of supra rear lights, or buy the REAL altezza rears. Even try and graft the old IS300 lights which were basically the same thing anyway. Instead of knocking rice, let's try and set a standard. Boiling lenses is not going to get you there, it's a unique try (and I commend you for that), but if you wanna get trick, ask some of the older guys who have 30's-50s Ford hot rods... They know the meaning of trick.
I hope I haven't sounded to biased... But if you want your ride to look "COOL", do something cool to it. Don't just add a knockoff. That's my .02 thumbs_u
