Cleaning injectors....

I was replacing my seals and what not, and there are a few small specs of dirt under the cap... can i rinse that with gas to try to clean it up? I see 2 very small holes there, and a 'thing' stickin up... and dont wanna even try to rub or brush it incase i mess something up.

And... what is that thing stickin up anyway.. lol Sorry for the retarted questions, but if I never ask, I'll never learn.

Well swishin the tip around in a lil glass of gasoline seemd to do the trick.. the cap went on kinda hard tho... can i **** those with anything and not clog it? or do i just have to fight em, and hope they're ok.. lol


*mental note... if it runs funny, check the injectors.. lol The new seals are nice tho, my old orings hardly held the injectors in.. and by the cracks in them, I know I was losing some compression on 4 cylinders at least, if even just a little bit.

there is a place that cleans injectors there was a link floating around about a week ago someone will post it or jsut do a sear on injector cleanign or something.

Well I know those links.. and from what I've heard from a few people that had them cleaned, was that they really weren't that far outta spec to begin with. She ran like a ***** ape before, never acted funny so I'm assuming they should be fine. Only time will tell. Even tho is only a little shy of 100 bux, there are still a few things that cost that much I still need to get.. I'm just gettin anxious to get this thing rollin!
