I just found out that my cigarette lighter doesn't work. Not with the lighter, not with a cell phone plugged in. Because I'm considering a G-Tech for someday, what could be wrong? Or how do I take this apart?

Check to see if your horn and/or cruise works. If neither work, check/replace fuse F12 in the I/P fusebox.

If it is not fuse related just buy you a replacement insert from autozone or someplace and install it.

If I were you I'd also add a second power socket, mounted somewhere other than the ashtray, so you don't need to open it to plug something in.

The lighter has a constant hot wire going to it. Simply test this with a test light. I you have power, its your socket which can be replaced easily by going to Pep Boys for about 9$. If there is no power, it's probably a fuse or a short.
I added a second lighter socket down on my center console for convenience.

One of the first things I'll have to find out is what these 2 wires are that are just hanging there. My SHO's wiring seems to have been modified a lot in the past, so maybe the lighter is disconnected.
