Looks good! I removed my side mirrors when I did mine.

Thanks! Really wanting to do mine but no shops here will touch it so might as well go for it.
Really? I wonder why? It only took me about an hour to do both sides.

That looks good. I've been weighing heavily on doing mine, along with the badges, and a few other places.

How much of the 3M 2080 did it take? You bought the 1' x 5' pack(s)? Gloss black?

I bought the 2’ x 5’ and cut it into 2 inch strips x whatever length I needed. That’ll get you 12 2 inch strips which does all the windows, back and side emblems. I messed up one strip on one of the windows so I’m probably going to be short vinyl for the front grille. I’d probably recommend finding a 2 inch roll as opposed to cutting it if you can find it online

Thanks. In my quick search 1' was the smallest width I could find. I may just order a 2 or 3' width when I'm ready since I'll already be cutting it anyway.

Already had a thread for the chrome delete but thought I'd make a new one so more people could see the video if they wanted. @FiveLeeter918
Yes I know the audio and quality suck, I couldn't find a good movie editing app to work with iPhone videos. Check description for time stamps
Finished the back chrome strip and opted to go around the ford logo. Main goal is to get all of the blatant chrome out. Turned out pretty good IMO. Did two little strips on the top and bottom of the logo and it overlaps barely onto the other vinyl but you can’t see it unless if you get up really close and look at it

Surprisingly it lasted for nearly two years before becoming dry and brittle, flaking off here in there in tiny pieces. Last year I took it off and redid it with gloss black vinyl from Vivid Vinyl. It was decent material and fairly cheap. Different from what you did was I cut strips even smaller. Just wide enough to tuck under edges. After making my strips I no longer needed to cut anything other than the ends. The rear corner chrome piece was a different story, I found it a litter harder to cut just right and have enough to tuck into the crevices...ended up touching it up with little pieces! That rear emblem must have been tricky, the round part meeting the flat part? But the quality of the wrap definitely helps! Some wraps just don’t handle areas like that well! Yours looks awesome!! Also @Nova does excellent work too! Do you guys tint your own windows too? I tint also and I got that 3rd brake light tinted!! You don’t hardly see anyone with rear window tint and 3rd brake light tinted. It’s actually super easy, you don’t need to redo anything, it has it’s own separate area. Pop the cover off and you have enough room to squeegee it. C0CB0A29 500F 4A0C B192 E374FE66B53B

Looks great! Honestly you can’t tell if it’s patched with little pieces unless if you’re deliberately looking for it lol. This was also my first attempt at the vinyl so that’s why I made my strips slightly larger to give myself some play, but that’s pretty pro if you can cut it to fit. Regarding the tint I actually did try it on my last taurus and failed miserably lol. It’s a lot harder than it looks. Ended up getting it done at a shop but I never did think about that rear taillight. I think the rear windshield tint covers it? I’m not sure will have to look later. I’d have to have a pro teach me how to do tint right, it’s hard to do right for sure. Looks great! 5% rears 20% front here on last taurus[/QUOTE]

Hard to see for sure but kind of looks like your 3rd brake light is tinted there. Right now mine is 5% tears and two layers of 35% in the front. Any tint in the front is illegal, so last time I had taken it off for inspection...it used to be 5% front...but now you can still get inspected with illegal front tint...so I tinted it 35% thinking I’ll last longer on the road without getting pulled over...but recently I don’t care anymore if I get pulled over or not...so I was about to take it off and tint it 5% in the fronts...but thought...I’ll just go over it with another layer of 35%. Lol! Last time I got pulled over I told the officer...Look man I’ll be honest, I know it’s illegal but I just like the look...that’s it. I barely drive my car, but when I do I want it to look good. I know ppl who go as far as lying about their eye sight to get a special sticker to be able to legally have front tint...I can’t bring myself to go that far...so if you want I’ll take it off, but I’m just going to put it right back on after. Cop is like...I get it. It’s really not a big deal...for a warning. Lol!

I learned how to tint by watching YouTube videos!! Dead serious!

Come to Okc, I have two vinyl guys that will knock it out. One did my SHO and the other has done all my cars in the past and has looked at my SHO saying it's doable.

I leave the tinting to the professionals, I had the tint guy do the 3rd brake light too. So mine looks like yours Drew.
