What else could cause thefamilar chirp chirp chirp noise until you apply the brake from the wheels other than pads, or rotors. I have good pads and my usual garage just today resurfaced all four rotors for me no charge, but it still does it. I am at a loss and I am going on vaction 7-14-07 for two weeks. I guess I will have to get it fixed when I get back, unless I find a Ford dealer down in Charelston SC, or should I say, "have the time to" between drinks.
Thanks.

Do you mean a squeak squeak squeak?

My rotors and pads are fairly new but I get an occasional squeak from my front brakes.

If it's a high pitch noise that goes away when you apply the brakes it could be the brake pad wear indicator. It's an audible warning that lets you know the brake pads are getting worn down.
My SHO had a really annoying high pitch noise coming from the rear back wheel mainly when travelling at high speeds but whenever i touched the brakes it'd go away. It was really annoying, sounded really ghetto haha

I had the rotors/pads replaced and the noise is gone.

Might be worth getting the brakes checked out, but if it's just the wear indicator I wouldn't delay your vacation or anything, they'll be fine for the trip, just a little annoying!

Chirp, squeak, yeah thats what I mean. I knew about the wear indicators, but I just thought that since he just checked all that (pads, and re-surfaced the rotors) that it could have been something else. I guess I will have to find a new shop then, since this guy owns a Midas store and has been servicing our cars for years. They have had several chances to screw us over the years, but always found the problem right away. **** they even saved us from having to buy a new A/C unit by just fixing the belt on our van when everyone else said " oh yeah, you need a new one for $1300".
Man, this sucks you know.:hdance:
I just love the dancin' banana.
