Hi everyone, I have my 2015 about a month and I finally found the transmission fluid "dip stick". Down below the air filer. So, what is the procedure to check your trans fluid? Do you need to remove the air filter unit every time to check it?

The checking is just like any transmission fluid, warm cycle through gears three times slowly and check quantity.

You don't have to remove the air filter box but it helps. At least remove the upper section and set aside.

If you want to be specific, the transmission oil should be set when the transmission oil temperature is between 180-200° F.

How would someone look at the temp? Scan tool.
Don't have a scan tool, drive it check the level like above.

I had a trans temp gauge on my MKS. It takes about 30 minutes of driving to reach the appropriate temp. Also, check with the engine running.
