OK, the CEL recently came on. I did the paperclip test and came up with a 22... 22 MAP (vacuum) or BARO signal out of range - MAP

So I went to the local parts emporium and got me a brandy new BARO sensor. Replaced it and still have my CEL and code 22 (yuppers, I let the batt sit disco'd for about 1/2 hour...)

So the 22 comes up only on the Key On Engine Off test, not on the running test....when I do the Key On Engine Running test the only code I get is a 11... System checks OK -

Car runs grea, very strong, aside from an occasional miss just off idle (car idling around 800 or so, blip the throttle and it would lag a bit, pop and then roar up in rpms as it should). This has only happened once or twice and only when it's fairly gloomy out.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

RJ

Make sure there is ~5v at the BARO sensor.

And if there is then with the key on you should be getting values similar to these depending on your altitude.

Approximate Altitude (Ft.) Voltage Output (+-.04 Volts)

0 1.59
1000 1.56
2000 1.53
3000 1.50
4000 1.47
5000 1.44
6000 1.41
7000 1.39

If that jives then check the wire going back to the PCM.

Thanks Paul, I'll check that in the AM. Question...how come I get the code 22 with the Key On, Engine OFF test but not when running? I get the Code 11?

Thanks!

Well fired the pig up this AM and no light. Seems it just needed a little more time to digest the new sensor LOL.
