Hey Everyone,
I found the PERFECT set of cheap driving lights for the Gen II SHO yesterday! They are Optronics Pro Series QH-17CT, and cost me $29.99 at Baxter's autoparts. The lights actually fill our foglight holes slightly better than our stock lights, and and they look completely stock. Installation was a snap, and the only other item I had to buy was a 5/16" fender washer to mount the driving light using the large hole at the back of the foglight bracket. The part that took the longest was soldering the new driving light wires into the OEM foglight wiring connectors. I'll try and get some pics and post them for you all to see.
The lights can be seen here:

The lights still run a 55W bulb, so heat and wire melting issues won't be a concern, yet they throw out an unbelievable amount of light. They work better than my highbeams by far, and are aimed low enough to not offend oncoming traffic (I had them on all last night driving around Portland without getting flashed by oncoming traffic). I finally can see where I'm going on dark roads, and now I'm really motivated to get new headlight housings and install some Silver Star headlight bulbs. thumb
I know they won't last forever, and a set of Piaas would be better quality and likely have even better light output, but I couldn't find any Piaas that looked stock (high priority), and I certainly didn't want to spend $200+. IMO, the Optronics look much better than the Blazers, and I think they are slightly higher quality. At $30 a set, I can go out and just buy a new set when the bulbs burn out or the lenses fog up!
Let me know if you guys want a set and can't locate any!
