Does the SHO's alternator have the voltage regulator integrated into it?

My car is giving me a charge light on a cold start - ayup running 12v. After it warms a little and is revved to ~4k, it jumps up to alternator voltage and is fine until it gets cold again.

Just wondering if I'm needing an alternator or just a seperate voltage regulator. Yeah, I'm old enough I remember they used to be seperate. Not sure if any of them are now...

TIA,
- Jeff

Thanks! Figured as much, may try brushes but y'know if you do that the bearings aren't far behind. At least that's usually my luck.

Cheers,
- Jeff
