Five minutes, normally.

Remove the rt front tire, put a 19 mm impact socket and a ratchet on the bolt head leaving several inches before the handle hits the subframe, disconnect the DIS module, bump the starter. Works every time as long as the ratchet doesn't break.

The job will take about four hours. As for the crank bolt, you can consider doing it the safe way. borrow or rent a 1 in torque wrench. 1/2 wrench wasn't strong enough for my car and I had to do the method described in the previous post. You have to take apart most of the passenger side of the engine bay. You might as well change accessory belts, timing belt, crank sensor, and front main seal while you're in there. After you do this now, you're going to be upset when you have to do it again. I'd get it all over with now. Just for the record, it took me 6 hours to do the job.

I'm in the process of doing mine now on a 93 ATX. It has taken me days!!! I was just going to change the waterpump, but after i had it all down, i realized how much easier it would be to change all of the other things now. So naturally, I had to HUNT down parts. Good luck, and it's really not that hard of a job, just time consuming.

Very true. the stores act like they can get the parts, you order the parts and they are the wrong ones. order online from a strickly FORD/SHO distributor.

But many of the parts can be purchased through local auto parts stores. I have posted the list of sources many times. Search on "60K replacement parts" or just look here.
