changing oil

i know this may be a stupid question, but im hearing different things from different people, can i do a regular oil change and switch to synthetic after i drain regular motor oil?, some people say i cant and have to flush it first ?????(never heard that) others say i can i just want to make sure before i do it thanks guys

You can change to synthetic after draining the regular oil out and it does not require any special cleaning. Royal Purple is the good stuff, but is a little more expensive.
