I used the search button for my question. I have one of the common problems for the ATX SHO's, My rack n pinion. How do you get the unit out as a whole once everything is undone ? Do I need to drop the subframe or take the arm assembly out ???? headbang I really need some help PLEASE....

The rack can be removed from the driver's side without dropping the subframe, but it is a very tight squeeze getting the body of the rack around the brake booster and the brake lines..

The next one I have to do, I will drop the rear of the subframe several inches to give more clearance.

That was what I was running into. I kept hitting to brake booster. I should just drop the drivers side subframe section and take out....

Loose tbe front SF bolts several turns, then support the rear of the subframe with a floor jack. Remove the rear SF bolts and lower the floor jack enough to get your clearance.

Reverse to reinstall, then re-torque SF bolts.

Hey Sho Anitor, do you remember which hose is for input and which is for output. Someone else took my rack out and Im trying to make sure which hose is which before I put it back in. One hose has a square fitting on the end which I believe is the return hose (goes back to the resevoir) and this hose plugs into the bottom hole of the rack (As the rack sits in the car). Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks
