What happens when you hear a whistle from the engine after changing the valve cover gaskets

It's running rather crazy and it smells like a fuel filter so I'm going to change that as wellIf you didn't change any belt paths maybe vacuum leak. Is it running differently other than the noise?
Two fuel lines. One is the feed and the other is the return. When I do valve cover gaskets I lift off the fuel rails to get better access to the rear cover. Maybe your mechanic did the same and now one or more injectors are leaking.I had someone else change them so I will check in the morning! How many vacuum hoses and fuel lines are there ?
No link posted. There are several vacuum lines and it could also be a misalignment or gasket not sealing somewhere. Check posts 34 and 35 in this thread. There are video with audio links to his car making noises. I would check all the obvious places where it looks like a hose would go and I would also remove and reseat the intake manifold. When you put it back on, if you take it off as 1 piece, you have to loosen the couplers between the intake runners so there is a little bit of flex. This allows it to seat properly and flush on the heads below. Then you tighten it back up.
Also if the injectors had the original oring seals and it is possible to have one damaged when it went back in or just not seal correctly.
Oops. Huge brain fart!No link posted.
