Do you hear the pump priming when you turn the key to the on position?

X2

Again, if you turn the key to the 'on' position without engaging the starter can you hear the fuel pump prime the system?

It primes for just a second or two. It is pronounced though. You should hear a low electric motor noise from the back.

ok so im going to check but if its not the fuel pump then what eles could it be?

I had a simmilar issue on my Tbird. Car wouldnt start, fuel pump was behaving eraddicly and would not prime. It ended up being the battery which I replaced and it started right up. Also check your battery terminals and cables to make shure they are getting good contact.

Like area91 says best way to find out if u have fuel is to either put a fuel guage on it or just poke it with a pocket screw driver. if gas squirts out with pressure you know you have fuel

Yes. Obviously the front is simple. The rear bank takes a little maneuvering. Get yourself an extention and one of those swivel socket things can make it easier too.
