yeah figured it only cost $14 for the vinyl same prolly as paint and all but no taping off and clean up with vinyl , although vinyl is a lil trickier to put on i think

Very nice. I'm interested in seeing how well it holds up to the elements.

Just yesterday I saw carbon fiber vinyl material to be used in a street rod.
Very interesting stuff.

yeah i did the c pillars. i got vinyl all over my other car, pillars and door handles are cf vinyl, graphics down the sides are black vinyl then my fuel door is vinyl, hood is real CF but with silver vinyl on the sides, all about 1-1.5 yrs old with no issues, but i use mcguiars detailer/wax spray and all quite often so it keeps the stuff looking new

welp it doesn't look too bad in pictures
i can tell its fake on the edges on the upclose pic but atleast it doesn't look too perfect as fasr as the pattern goes... kinda realistic pattern....

that fake plain weave that looks like a bunch of blocks is crap....... I hate the real stuff too in that type of weave

wonder how it holds up as well...........

this is comming from someone who used to make CF parts....

The CF looks good!

Let me guess though; you keep opening the car door into that poor solar light?

yeah this cf film is more realistic then the older block style design, its not 100% vinyl either i think, the back of it is shiny , like a sticker sorta, so in the sunlight it looks like real CF how it kinda puts off a goldish tint/shine if you know what i mean. thats why i posted my other car, ive had that stuff on for over a yr now with no issues so i think it should hold up fine. this is a pic of it compared with the older block style CF that use to be on my dodge

how does this stuff attach? how hard would it be to take off?

I might need to do this, cause my pillars are all chipped too

Its like putting window tint on, you have to spray it with soap and water and use a squegee . the pillars are so small its easy to do on this car you just leave like half inch over hang off the edge of the door so you can wrap it on the inside of the door edge. as far as removing it sorta same as tint, the longer its on the harder it will be , but its such a small pc i doubt it would be very hard to get off, when you wax your car wax the vinyl too and it will help it last, i think the stuff has a expected life of like 10yrs before it should fade or anything so..

Looks good! A friend of mine did this to his sho about a year ago and it is still there. You should try it on your door handles now:)
