Bank 1 Sensor 1 is pre-cat. P0135 is specifically to do with the heater circuit. Your problem has nothing to do with the cat itself. I would start checking the wiring. I am guessing it was damaged during the installation. If you already replaced the sensor, it should be further up the loom. You will need a wiring diagram and a volt/ohm meter if there is nothing visually obvious.

Agreed with @Ta2dResqr. Did you use Motorcraft sensors or did you use a store brand? In my experience the store brands are not setup very well and tend to fail or give improper readings off the bat.

If you did you use a Motorcraft sensor, I'd definitely start poking around and make sure that the wiring didn't melt against the downpipes or get caught somewhere that is causing it to ground out. Are your datalogs showing proper operation? Has Matt noted anything?

I agree, PPE cats are the best made, he is right, sounds like wiring, or a mismatched O2 install. The rear precat puts that O2 into a really tight fit and wires will be at an almost 90 degree angle to make O2 fit.
