CE Code, 214, whats it mean?

214 - Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal

When the light is on at idle the car jumps from 500 rpm - 1000 rpm, If I try to drive it with the CE light on it does a bucking, like it has normal power than loses power, normal power, then loses power.

Looks like a cam sensor to me.

if the engine is noticeably missing, and it is not just the tach missreading/stuttering, then it is the coil pack

Far more likely to be the CID sensor than a coil pack.

Coil packs just don't fail very often. CID failures are common and the usual symptoms are present.
