My 94 sho only has the am/fm/cassette player. I have a small compartment with a door under my stereo where the CD player would have gone if it had one. If I purchase a factory cd player from ebay will I be able to remove the small compartment and install the cd player. My cassette door does say automatic. Do all of the factory stereos come with the required plugs on back so that the cd player can be plugged into it? thanks

The storage compartment you are referring to is easily removed with a couple DIN removal tools you can get at Wally World. Some people will tell you that you can make the same tools with a coathanger, but I'd spend the two bucks to get the tools. You can use the same tools to remove the stereo itself, too.
On a side note, if you want to keep the factory look then get the stock CD player. If you want a good CD player and you don't care about the factory look, get an aftermarket CD player. The Ford CD player (manufactured by Sony) is prone to ******** the bed and not repairable unless you want to pay a small fortune. Plenty of decent headunits can be had for under $200.
