There's a factory one on the back left it's part of the pcv.
There good because it catches the oil and gas blow by that goes thru into the intake for better emisions .
There good to have to help with coking on the intake valves and the oil can actually pre ignite but that hasn't been an issue with the highest hp sho.

so a after market one is better? also does it have to be cleened out time to time

You have to empty them. Depending on the climate you live in probably at least at every oil change but you may need to check more often. The simplest setup is the one made by JLT and priced well that’s the one I have been running. There are more complex setups that probably do a better job because they also filter under boost but at the minimum I would get something for any DI engine no matter the platform.
