Catch can question

Ok, before you all flame the **** out of me, yes, I've searched, and I can't locate the thread I am looking for. I'm trying to find Jason's thread with him installing the catch can on his wife's car.. I looked through his "thread start" stats, and must have missed it or something as well as searched for "catch can" "catch can install" etc.. Anyone remember the thread title.. Jason, got a link for me?

Reason being is I'm going to be painting, honing and installing BBB's on my spare intake in the next couple of weeks and wanted to put a catch can of sorts in. I've been browsing the web a little and found this.

Just want some opinions. I want to see exactly how Jason did it so i can sort of mock mine off that, or jut cap the TB off and run /\ and call it a day.. Thought?

Well it isnt really hard. The only one that needs to be filtered is the pcv. If you put one on the valve cover nothing will come out. For boosted cars this is a different story.

Here is mine.


You really just connect the pcv hose to one side and the other side to the bottom of the TB.

We had the catch-can mounted where the ATX Cruise Control computer is for a long time, and that worked pretty well, except for there not being any cruise control.









And it catches a lot of shit, too. This was after a week or two of short trips, and directly following a long 50 mile trip to fully warm the engine up. This is why short trips are bad for an engine. It's aerated, condensated oil.



Then, she decided she wanted her cruise control back for a 4 hour trip (understandable, I feel) so she moved it, using fuel line hose, to its current location (pic via blackberry):



Then, she got a set of firewall vacuum hoses, and she found that two of the big ones aren't used on an ATX, so... new catch can hoses!





And she has done 100% of the work on it. I just bought her the parts. ****, I haven't even been in the country for most of it.

Sweet.. thats what i needed.. Do you happen to know the size of the line so i can get an adapter/fitting for it to extend it! Ill probably go this route to keep everything nice and clean!

I would were it my car, but it's not my car; it's my wife's, and she's let me do enough inane shit to it already. I'd have to make quite the business case to justify doing all that additional wiring and purchasing 6 COPs, and "It's so I can move the catch can one foot over" isn't gonna cut it. Besides, it's fine where it is, and COPs haven't been shown to make any more power than the stock coil does.
