Has anyone had problems with any of the converters going out? I would like to hear about what solution you came up with. A top exhaust place is telling me they would have to order the part from Ford and Ford would have to make one up special. I guess it can't be just any converter because there is an oxygen sensor conected through it. Please help!

if you have a stock y pipe, which im assuming since your ordering from ford, jsut get a whole new high flow y-pipe. It will help a lot with exhaust flow and there not to expensive. You can get a nice eone from summit racing for 250 bucks. i dont have the link but there was a thread on here a few days ago about it.

Yeah, they're trying to take you for a ride. Just buy a y-pipe and bring it in for them to install. Your cats probably failed due to your car running rick. If that problem isn't corrected your new ones may fail too.

Check your diagnostic trouble codes.

Where in Iowa are you? We can help point you in the right direction save you a ton of money.

It would help us out a lot if we knew what year and transmission your SHO was.
