searched and didnt find much about this......atleast not with the symptoms the 92 has rite now

on the way home from work my cd player started turnin on and off.....figured owell ground just came loose or somthin..........so im about home and i notice my CE light is on.......get home and shut off the car and pull codes and get a 214 and i try to start the car and it acts like the battery is dead but its not

anyone got a idea what would cause this or if its the CID?????.....im extremely tight on cash now so i dont wanna throw parts at it on wild guesses......rather just blow the thin up and get a T/A or bike (it is gettin warm out )

A CID fault will NOT:

1) Cause a persistent no start problem

or

2) a No Crank symptom.

Sounds to me like your alternator died and is no longer charging the battery (which is now too dead to crank).

By chance does the fan turn on with the key? I had similar symptoms when the grounds attached to the inner fender by the battery fell off.
