car wont start, just clicks

we went to the store, came back out and all the car would do is click. the click is coming from under the hood, up towards the radiator from one of the boxes up there. we got a new one, and still the same thing, checked all fuses, nothing burnt...anyone have any ideas??the codes you guys mention on here just confuse me please help!!!!

Now I don't claim to be the best at diagnosing cars. But have you tried hooking jumpers to the battery and having someone try and jump your car? When I drained my battery from a light being on I heard the same noise. Maybe your alternator went out on you and you now have a dead battery?

where in Louisiana are you?

what year SHO is it?

you need to determine where the power stops...

depending on the year of your car, you may have a starter solenoid gone out, a starter relay, or a bad cable/connection somewhere. Your battery could be dead, which may or may not be the result of a bad alternator.

My suggestion would be to take the battery, the starter, and the alternator off and bring them to an auto parts store to have them all tested...

assuming they are all good, clean up all your connections with a wire brush maybe replace the battery cable terminals depending upon their condition and trace the power...
