Whenever I press the clutch in to shift gears, the car stalls. What would make it do that?? Also sometimes it wont start, it will turn-over and then die after a few seconds. It doesnt do it all the time though. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Ya know, ive been wondering about this to. My car wont stall, but the revs will fall. Soemtimes if i hold the clutch in the revs will climb and drop, climb and drop. Have you had a tune up?

After I did cams and 60k, I had this tuning issue. It's quite possibly idle related. I know my father and I messed with the idle set screw on the throttle body. Have you run the reset idle procedure? You should also run a code scan. You can also try cleaning the iac/iab valve. You can find instruction on www.shotimes.com for that procedure.

haydem is on the right track.

When the vehicle is rolling and the clutch is depressed, the PCM tries to use the ISC/BPA/IAC valve to regulate idle at around 1200-1300 RPM.

If the valve is malfunctioning, idle speed cannot be regulated.

Click on SEARCH, enter "idle reset", and sdpatt's user # 51. Limit your search to this forum.

The SEARCH feature is a valuable tool once you figure out what search parameters to use.

Bad choice. To anyone else following along, never do this.

First check to make sure the idle air control/bypass valve's electrical connector is plugged in. If that is OK, then try the idle reset procedure. If that doesn't help, you may need to replace the AIC valve. They are available through auto parts stores.
