My SHO just got out of the shop from being repainted. I noticed the door ajar light was on as soon as I got it back and told them about this problem it never was there before. I drove the car for 2 days then was on my way to work and the car drove fine, I shut it off worked for 3 hrs came back and went to my gfs house where I was parked idling in front of her house for maybe 2 minutes. Then the car bogged down, battery light came on and check engine light came on and the car shut off. I turned the car back on when she came out of the house about 5 minutes later started up fine drove it down her street to about 30 miles per hour and the car stalled, battery light first then check engine and slowed down. I turned it on once again when it cooled down and the same exact problem. Does anybody know what any of these symptoms are? I had the car towed to my mechanics shop and its been there since last wednesday and they can't figure out what the problem is. They say that they think its a bad ground somewhere from what the body guys did. Do you think thats a possibility? Any help is very appreciated.. Thank you in advance, I need to get this thing running for good so I can finally make a couple SHO meets around here. All the car does is spend its time in the shop and cost me more and more money. Seems like everytime the damn car goes to somebody and gets fixed it comes out with a different problem. :madflame:

sounds similar to what mine did when the Crank position sensor was going out, the first time it died it was also idling. and then a couple days later while driving it just died but it started right back up, the next day it died again while driving and wouldn't start back up at all it would only crank so i called a friend and by the time he got there the engine had cooled down so i tried again and it fired right up and i drove it home with no problems. the next day i started it and as soon as it got warm it died and didn't start up again until I replaced the CPS and it's been running fine ever since.

Sometimes when they go out they get heat sensitive and once they get up to normal running temperature they just stop sending a signal so the engine shuts down.

the crank sensor can crack, when it gets hot the crack can open and make for bad running and or no starts, once it cools the crack can close and it will run fine again untill it gets hot and the cycle starts all over again.
